The Exchange Students Came, Welcome New Year
The new academic year of TAMK University of Applied Sciences has begun. The lecturers and other staff members have worked hard to have everything prepared. The most exciting this year is the merger of TAMK and PIRAMK UAS on January 1st. Last week the staff members of both merging universities gathered to a joint staff meeting, and had a massive get-together party in the evening. New friends and lots of fun.
This week the fresh first year students of many degree programmes have started with orientation. Also the exchange students started their orientation yesterday.
This autumn TAMK hosts 87 exchange students from 19 countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA.
Next Monday the students of second and upper years of most degree programmes return. The new students of our degree programmes run in English, the Degree Programme in Environmental Engineering, the Degree Programme in Interational Business and our new Dgree Programme in Media start with three orientation days next Wednesday.
